Equip a cape step by step
- From the main menu, open the Dressing Room.
- Select your character, then choose Edit Character.
- Open the Capes section (on some versions it sits under the clothing categories).
- Pick the cape you redeemed and confirm.
The cape is saved to your character and shows in worlds, Realms and servers that display capes.
Remove or change a cape
Open the same Capes section and select None, or choose another cape you own.
Redeemed a cape but cannot see it?
- Make sure you are signed in with the same Microsoft account you used at minecraft.net/redeem.
- Restart the game so it refreshes your owned items.
- Check that the cape is a Java and Bedrock cape. Special cosmetics like the Corrupted Creeper Cape belong to Minecraft Dungeons II instead.
