Follower's Cape: History, Rarity and How to Get It (2026 Guide)

The Follower's Cape is an official Minecraft cape for Java and Bedrock (origin: TikTok LIVE promotion, May–June 2024). This guide covers where it came from, how rare it is, what it looks like on a real skin and exactly how to get the Follower's Cape today.

Where the Follower's Cape comes from

The Follower's Cape came from a 2024 TikTok promotion. Players earned a code by watching a Minecraft LIVE on TikTok and typing "minecraft" in the chat between May 18 and June 18, 2024. Some regions could not take part at all, which kept the number of owners down.

It reached Java Edition on July 1, 2024. Unused codes are increasingly hard to find, which makes the Follower's Cape one of the pricier 2024 capes.

What the Follower's Cape looks like

A bold design built around the creator and follower theme of the TikTok LIVE promotion. It has strong contrast, so it looks sharp both in the launcher preview and in game.

You can spin the 3D model at the top of this page, switch between walking and elytra flight, and type your own Minecraft username to see the Follower's Cape on your skin before you buy.

Looks best with: Clean, high-contrast skins; it also looks great with red and black outfits.

How rare is the Follower's Cape?

TikTok LIVE rewards were not available in every country, so many players could never earn it. That regional limit is why the Follower's Cape is in our Netherite tier and why unused codes are hard to find.

Rarity on GetCape is shown with six tiers: Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Netherite and Dragon, from most common to rarest. Prices follow supply: when unused codes for a cape run low, they cost more to source.

How to get the Follower's Cape in 2026

The original promotion has ended, so you cannot earn the Follower's Cape from Mojang any more. The only way to add it to your account now is an unused official code. Every code we sell is checked before it is listed and is delivered instantly after payment, with a replace-or-refund guarantee.

Is the Follower's Cape worth it?

It is a great pick for collectors and players who want one of the harder 2024 capes that most people on a server will not have. Capes are purely cosmetic, so you are paying for style and rarity, not an in-game advantage, and once redeemed it is yours forever.
