Moonlight Trail Cape: History, Rarity and How to Get It (2026 Guide)

The Moonlight Trail Cape is an official Minecraft cape for Java and Bedrock (origin: 2026 event promotion). This guide covers where it came from, how rare it is, what it looks like on a real skin and exactly how to get the Moonlight Trail Cape today.

Where the Moonlight Trail Cape comes from

The Moonlight Trail Cape came out in May 2026, first on Bedrock and on Java from May 27, 2026. Its pale moonlit path on deep blue is one of the most striking 2026 designs.

It was only available for a short window, so unused codes are hard to find and stock here moves quickly.

What the Moonlight Trail Cape looks like

A pale, moonlit path running across a deep blue background. It is one of the most atmospheric designs of 2026 and looks especially good at night and in dark lobbies.

You can spin the 3D model at the top of this page, switch between walking and elytra flight, and type your own Minecraft username to see the Moonlight Trail Cape on your skin before you buy.

Looks best with: Blue, white and silver skins, mages and night-themed outfits.

How rare is the Moonlight Trail Cape?

It was only available for a short window in 2026, so unused codes are scarce and stock moves fast. It sits in our Netherite tier.

Rarity on GetCape is shown with six tiers: Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Netherite and Dragon, from most common to rarest. Prices follow supply: when unused codes for a cape run low, they cost more to source.
